It has a low impact on the surrounding ecosystem, and it can\u2019t be seen from the coast. It has a tremendous opportunity to take the main role among the world\u2019s energy resources. It has been calculated that the overall potential of wave energy is anywhere\u00a0<strong>between 0.2 and 10TW<\/strong>. It starts early, has no limits, and is more reliable than the wind!<\/p>\n<div class=\"info_box\">It is important to take into consideration that wave energy has an availability percentage as high as ninety percent and may travel great distances without suffering a substantial loss of energy. While it is possible to make an accurate prediction of the status of the sea\u00a0<strong>between 48 and 72 hours in advance<\/strong>, it is rare for an exact wind forecast to be provided more than 5-7 hours in advance.<\/div>\n<p>At the moment, the energy density of wave energy is the highest it can be among all the renewable sources of power. The power density of photovoltaic panels is 1 kW\/m<sup>2<\/sup>, the power density of wind at 12 meters per second is only 1 kW\/m<sup>2<\/sup>, and the power density of waves along the coast of San Francisco, for example, is\u00a0<strong>25 kW\/m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As a consequence of this, a significant number of research initiatives have focused on wave energy conversion (WEC) systems.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/853414117?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Challenge of Implementing Wave Energy Conversion<\/h2>\n<p>Wave energy needs to satisfy the requirements imposed by the network, and the power flow between the grid and the wave must be maximized. Since the variations in forces and power involved are huge, the system must provide electricity at average ocean climate and survive extreme storms. Providing a system that is economical and strong enough to survive the extreme ocean climates. Wave power is not widely employed for commercial applications compared to other renewable resources.<\/p>\n<h2>Ocean Waves<\/h2>\n<p>Wind is what causes waves in the ocean.
