Electrical load calculation and energy consumption
This MS Excel spreadsheet calculates the following //
- Continuous and non-continuous electrical load of panel
- Total energy consumption (KWH) in daily/monthly of panel
- Size of MCB of each branch circuit of panel
- Voltage / Voltage difference of each phase
- Unbalanced load in neutral wire
- Expected temperature rise in each phase
- Load in each phase
- Starting / full load / continuous / non-continuous load
- Size / type / tripping setting of main MCCB

Good day,
I have bought your software Electrical Panel Load & Energy Consumption but i would like to purchase the editable version of the Electrical Load Calculation for Panel.
I need to edit more line since i using the software for a residential electrical design. How can i get hold of it?
Your Prompt Reply would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Dear,
Please provide the load calculation sheet for the residence and housing sector
hello, Jignesh!
i find the same error that other people find previous me, Y and B in the amp calculation is wrong. can you send me the password for fix this?
when i saw this my left leg fell off, causing me to fall into a puddle and sprain my wrist, now i cannot eat a biscuit while drinking tea, im not impressed and will continue to use old formulas so i can enjoy tea and biscuits
There is some mis formulation on sheet in Ampere of Y phase and B phase is same
Please verify it and correct it
Thanks
Without password, It is not of much use for me. Can anybody tell what is the protected sheet password of this sheet.
In this sheet updated sheet there is minor mistake in B phase & Y phase calculation. If you enter load on Y phase automatically it will increase in B phase also . So please check it and correct if I am right than.
This spread sheet is protected – does anyone know what the password is.
Great reference and time saver tool when performing such tedious tasks! Test and sample a calculation, use with caution.
You are kindly requested to check your definition of diversity factor. In electrical engineering there is no diversity factor less than one but you use 0.80. This will totally affect your whole computation. if you find any diversity less than one please email me where you got it.
Just noted the reference in the comments made to diversity factor: the article and associated spreadsheet is correct in using a diversity factor of 0.8 (diversity of 1 (unity) is possible in theory). If the case that a diversity factor was never less than 1 than there would be no need to ever apply a diversity factor!
Well Said, Inns
Hi These spreadsheet looks really great help to electrical engineers. I am able to see them on ipad but could not download on laptop. Can anyone suggest how to do it on laptop.
Great site. Thank you for your willingness to share what you have and saving our time in reinventing the wheel.
This is preethy. Can you please help me in providing formulas for the below.
Suppose for 1HP feeder Amps is 2 & contactor is 7,OLR range is 2.2-3.2.
How can these valves be calculated by using formula.
It is great and handy calculator with one exception. That is when calculating the total monthly consumption, the number of hours per day is used twice in the calculation. Please see below for details.
Average Using/ Day (Hours) Average Using/ Month (Hours) No of Unit Consumed/Day No of Unit Consumed/Month
18 540 900 486000
10 300 350 105000
EEP4JOE: Like you, I believe the formulas in Column “U” (# Units Consumed Per Month) are incorrect.
For example “U13” formula is “=P13*S13*R13”. The value in Cell “S13” is already calculated as a monthly value. Multiplying “S13” by “R13” results in “U13” multiplying the daily use twice.
Since the cells in Column “U” are protected, only the author can correct the problem..
