    Hello
I would like to know how the cable selection works because, for example, for a motor load current of 180.4 Amp, and selecting a 2.5 mm2 cable in the drop-down cell, it is indicated that this cable size is OK (green color ) with a maximum length of 8 meters
it is impossible that this size of cable can support this load
For all the above, I would like to know if I am misusing this spreadsheet
Best regards, thank you in advance and I look forward to your response.

    Dear Sir,
Your programs are useful unless we can fully understand the actual derivations i.e the formulae in the respective cells. However, most of your formulae in the respective cells are locked with password. Thus, rendered your program ineffective. This is the main reason
for the many complaints from your readers.

    1. Could you let me know how do I unlock your passwords
    2. If there is any cost involved, please let me know:
    a) The process
    b) The cost
    c) What are my other benefits
    d) What are the eligible duration

Looking forward to receive your quick response.

    Regards,
    (Mr. Gan Saik Ngai)

    1. You should not include FUR (Future) load when sizing Over Current Protection Device (OCPD) for a specific load. The size of the OCPD should Be to protect the current load, otherwise the OCPD is NOT protected.

    2. the NEC FLA of motor loads are HP driven and not KVA driven. Also the circuit trip amps can be up to 250% of the FLA. see NEC Table 430-250

    Hi Jignesh,
I am working in a project where there are 12 nos. LV (415V) motors fed from MCC located about 1.1kM away from the motors. There are LCS located near the motors.understand from another project that in such long distance cases, when a stop signal is given from LCS, the contactor remains picked up due to the stored energy due to cable capacitance. Kindly advise some mitigation measures in this kind of situation to avoid mal-operation.
    Regards
    Debmalya
