Is it possible that in the base MVA method tab there is an error in the calculation of fault current at Main LT Panel?

I think that there is an error because the impedance of the transformer is not added to the impedance used for the calculation and I’m getting results like 2 000 KA -> 2 000 000 A

    Please confirm

PD.: Can I have the password to modify the spreadsheets?

All: Where the system peak fault current and the cable diameter are known, the formula featured in the below Article, excerpted from the international standard IEC 61914, can be used to calculate the forces between two conductors in the event of a 3 phase fault in order to specify the correct type of cable cleats.

    Hello sir,
I actually performed some physical tests on Power Transformers but I’m interested in the digital aspect and how I can deploy the use of algorithm. Also that I want to simulate the practical result onto the simulation model. I would need assistance on how to apply my result on the simulation platform.
I crave your indulgence to assist me to gain the knowledge.
I wish to send you the test results. My mail address is [email protected]
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Regards.

    i have three question

1-could i know the formula you used from which standard or code you take it ?
2- for Phase Conductor Constant , can you send me the catalogs which took from (because it different from country to other ) ?
3- Do you have an AWG cable size equivalent ? (whith mention your resource )

    best regards

you may also consider Short Circuit Analytic software program and mobile apps for short circuit fault current calculations. The program factors in both active and reactive parts of equipment impedance and takes into account fault current contributions from multiples sources including motors and generators:

Hello, could you please solve the short circuit problem manually using point to point calculation. A better explanation on how you arrived at your answer would also be appreciated. Kindly send your reply to: [email protected] or [email protected].

    • One 480V motor feeder, 100HP, 100m length, for both underground installation and offshore installation in cable trays. Assume MCC is fed from switchgear, on the secondary of a 750kVA transformer, 4160-480V. The check for Voltage drop should be for running and starting conditions
    • One feeder cable to a Power Panel, 480V, 100kVA, 200 m distance
    • One 250 HP, 4.16kV motor, 100m length for both underground and cable tray installation. Assume 4.16kV MCC is fed from 4.16kV switchgear having a short circuit rating of 200MVA, the feeder length is 50Ft.
    • One remote 4.16kV-480V transformer feeder, 200m length, 500kVA.
    • One line diagram for the system (4.16kV and 480V) shall also be prepared.
    • Primary short circuit calculation (using reactance and resistances in ohms, not p.u.)
    • Assume the generation is with 2+1 1250kVA, 4.16 kV Solar Saturn 20 gas turbine generators (sub transient reactance is 12.5%).
