3-phase systems and 1-phase
Calculation of touch voltage and ground current can be performed on single-phase or three-phase systems.
According to the inputs for the three-phase system:
Line-to-Neutral Volts (Vn), Line 1 Calculated Load (A1), Line 2 Calculated Load (A2), Line 3 Calculated Load (A3), Service Neutral Impedance Z1, and Ground Resistance (3-point method) R, the spreadsheet will calculate the following parameters:
- The resistance of Each Phase
- The resistance of neutral/Ground
- Neutral Current and Load
- Touch Voltage for the Metal part to Earth
- Body Resistance and Body Current
For single-phase, systems input parameters are: Circuit voltage and ampere, load, ground, electrode, and body resistance.

Am I able to free download or subscribe the excel sheet for step and touch voltage and ground current calculations as the excel sheet shown above.
Hi
Please advise if the step & touch voltage and GPR should be calculated for LV systems as street lighting poles ,or step and touch voltage is required to be calculated Ac substations /HV as per IEEE 80 ?
why Ground Potential Rise for 24VDC solar system minimal?
I am an electrical engineer and I’d like to express my great thanks to managers of this web site and its all writers. Meanwhile, I want to add one general comment. Normally in spreed sheets, the american units (mile, foot square, AWG and…) are being used. Please develop equivalent METRIC sheets too.

I am struggling to calculate volt drop on three phase , touch volt I need a help
The touch calculation is very useful, thanks.
The touch calculation is very useful, thanks
Good & Helpful Information.
Thanks for enrolling me . It is really useful website
I’m a Relay Technician and I’m fascinated by all this kind of technical information. Thank you very much!!
Put in Constant Voltage Transformers.
Excellent
Dear Friends,
Recently we have installed a 500kwp solar power plant in our state .It is a on grid system, about 25 nos of solar inverters have been installed in a area of around 1.5 km radius in different building. Here we found that the 20 kwp inverters at last building is developing over and under voltage and going failure. So pls anybody suggest what could be the reason for this and available solution. Thanks
Please send me your single line and distances of each inverter from each other and from the load centre. Also please tell me what is the switching frequency of your IGBTs. Log onto our website we can help you if you still have the problem with the last inverter.
Thanks,
in the name of god
tnx a lot
