This course is designed for electrical engineering students to learn the fundamentals of low-current systems: fire alarm, CCTV, telephone, MATV, data and sound systems.

The course consists of six main sections:

  1. Fire Alarm System: Components of fire alarm system, sensors and detectors, outputs used in a fire alarm system, fire alarm control panels and cables
  2. CCTV System: Camera selection in CCTV system, management of CCTV system and different cables used in CCTV system
  3. Telephone System: Types of telephone systems, components of the traditional telephone system, cables, outlets
  4. Data system: Data system outlet, different types of cables, patch panel, rack and switches used in the data system
  5. MATV system: Components of MATV system, types of antennas used and cables used in MATV system
  6. Sound system: Components of the sound system and their function
