Electrical Panel Design in EPLAN: Setting Up NFPA Project and Circuit Diagrams

Course Description

In this course, we cover the setup of the EPLAN project so that you can create circuit diagrams according to the NFPA standard.

By the end of the course, you will be able to add pages and manage plot frames and grid sizes to create professional NFPA style ePLAN circuit diagrams. We will finish up the course by creating a direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter power circuit diagram.

What you’ll learn:

All you need to know to be able to work in EPLAN acc. to the NFPA standard
Create an EPLAN project using a correct NFPA project template (not intuitive)
Add pages and compare the differences between an IEC and an NFPA style ePLAN project
Manage plot frame inside your EPLAN project
Manage grid settings – inch vs mm setting (very important)
Change grid settings and displayed units of measure when working both on NFPA and IEC style ePLAN projects
